Booker Edgerson Is 2010 “Wall Of Fame” Inductee –
Former CB Booker Edgerson (1962-69) has been selected as the 2010 Bills’
“Wall of Fame” inductee. He will be the 26th inductee to go on the
wall and the seventh member of the 1964-65 AFL Championship teams to be
honored (Dubenion, Kemp, Saimes, Sestak, Shaw and Stratton).
2010 Buffalo Bills “Alumni Weekend” set for September 11-13 –
The annual Buffalo Bills Alumni weekend will be held on September 11-13,
2010. The Saturday night “gala” will be held at the Seneca Niagara
Casino in Niagara Falls. The annual golf tournament will be held on
Monday, Sept. 13 (location TBA).
Frank Reich Presents “Call To Courage”
Award –
Former QB FRANK REICH (1985-94) returned to Buffalo on Saturday,
April 23 to present the 9th annual “Call To Courage” Award at an
Athletes In Action breakfast attended by more than 700 people. Reich
initiated the award in 2002 to honor an active NFL player who has been
outstanding on the playing field as well as in the community. This
year’s winner was FB Heath Evans of the New Orleans Saints. Frank is
now the QB coach for the Indianapolis Colts. Another former Bill, TE
PETE METZELAARS (1985-94) is also an assistant coach with the Colts.
Billy Shaw Recovering from Knee Surgery –
Former Bills’ G BILLY SHAW (1961-69) is recovering at home in
Georgia from knee replacement surgery. The Pro Football Hall of Famer
should be back on the golf course later this Spring.
