Bills Alumni News – July/August 2010

Former QB Alex VanPelt ( 1995-2003) has landed on his feet as the quarterbacks coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  AVP  served as QB coach and offensive coordinator for the Bills on Dick Jauron’s staff.

Sad news for the Bills’ “family”.   Former G/T Tony Brown (1987) died last Spring after a long illness.  A memorial service was held in August, organized by Dennis DiPaolo of Ilio DiPaolo’s Restaurant.

Former WR James Lofton (1989-92) will return as the color analyst on Westwood One’s “Sunday Night Football” radio broadcast heard on over 300 stations nationwide.  James lives in San Diego, CA.

Former WR/Special Teams ace Lou Piccone (1977-82) will continue in 2010 as the radio color commentator for the University at Buffalo football team.  Lou is a past president of the Bills Alumni Association.

Former S Kurt Schulz (1992-98) lives in Clarence, NY and is a financial advisor with Merrill-Lynch.

Former DE Marcellus Wiley (1997-99) is a rising star at ESPN.  The second round 1997 draft choice out of Columbia appears regularly on various shows on ESPN and ESPN2.
