| Buffalo Bills (1961-69) | Grew
up in Hanover, PA where he was a HS football player and wrestler…Played
both sports in college at Syracuse where he was named an All-American
center in football…Member of Syracuse’s 1959 National Championship team
under coach Ben Schwartzwalder…Drafted in the 7th round of the 1961 AFL
draft by the Buffalo Bills where he became an instant starter…Won two
consecutive AFL Championships with the Bills in 1964 and 1965…Named an
AFL All-Star in 1965…Played every offensive line position during his
nine year career with Buffalo and never missed a game (126 games).
Al
currently resides in Orchard Park, NY…He works as a substitute teacher
and has served as a HS wrestling official in WNY for many years…Al is
also an active member of the Buffalo Bills Alumni Association. |
